The Asterias table, designed by Patricia Urquiola, evokes the shape of its namesake cactus and is distinguished by its generous dimensions and central base of six curved wooden panels, crafted using 3D printing. With a rounded top of 160 or 180 cm, the structure is composed of three sections that present an attractive geometric design. Additionally, it incorporates a practical central rotating plate, known as a Lazy Susan, highly valued in Asian culture. Urquiola, born in Oviedo and trained in architecture in Madrid and Milan, has left her mark on modern design, creating collections for Molteni and receiving recognition such as the Red Dot Award for her Diamond table in 2005.
